The MBA program is offered in a full time format. The entire duration of the program is 12 months . It has a general management focus and provides learners with the hard knowledge and soft skills in business and management within a global context.

A General Management Program for experienced professionals from all over the world

 

Over the course of the program, students engage in leadership courses which allows them to nurture their own leadership styles. Through experiential learning, international exposure, and personalized career development you’ll have the tools and experience to create a path to success.

The MBA program is offered in a full-time format over a duration of 12 months. It has a general management focus and provides learners with the hard know-how and soft skills in business and management within a global context.   

  • 1-year full time program: 12 months composed of core courses, electives, volunteer work, and research project.
  • Optional internship: After the coursework is completed, students can decide to do an internship of at least 15 weeks and earn extra 10 ECTS credits.
  • Students are required to earn 60 ECTS credits in order to graduate from the program.
  • Classes are taking place from Monday to Friday.

Learning goal 1: LSB students will have internalized a value system where ethics and corporate social responsibility are important.

The Full-Time MBA aims at above-average students, who completed a bachelor degree and have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience. As we are accepting students from all over the world, it is crucial for Visa and Authorization to stay processes to meet the application deadlines.

Admissions Requirements

– A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Applicants with degrees in all disciplines meeting one of the following requirements are welcome:

  • A minimum of 240 ECTS or
  • A 4-year bachelor degree and

A minimum of two years of work experience.

OR

  • A bachelor degree of 180 ECTS and at least 5 years of relevant business professional experience.

– Fluency in English.

  • If you have worked in an English speaking environment for at least 2 years, please provide a recommendation letter from your superior.
  • If you have studied in English in the past, the copy of the diploma is sufficient.
  • If you have not worked in an English speaking environment for at least 2 years and you are not a native speaker, please provide a proof of English proficiency: Transcript of your TOEFL Score (Minimum Requirement: Paper Based: 550, Internet Based: 85) or IELTS Score (Minimum Requirement: 7.0)

Admissions Process

Online Application

  1. Fill out the online application form on our website and upload supporting documentation:
  • Updated CV
  • Letter of motivation
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Copy of your bachelor and/or master degree and/or grades
  • Proof of English proficiency

Pay the application fee of EUR 100.

2. Essay: Candidates will be asked to write a short essay on a specific topic (e.g. a quote from a famous person).

3. Interviews: Pre-selected candidates will be invited for two rounds of  interviews.

4. Decision: The Admissions Committee makes the final decision.  Candidates will be informed of the outcomes by email.

The Full-Time MBA is an investment that will pay dividends for years to come!

  • For EU Students who do not need a Visa or Authorization to Stay in Luxembourg, the Full-Time MBA program tuition fee will be EUR 37,000.  The total amount of tuition can be paid in several instalments as described hereunder.

 

  • For International Students who need a Visa or Authorization to Stay in Luxembourg, the Full-Time MBA program tuition fee will be EUR 39,000. The total amount of tuition can be paid in two instalments as described hereunder.

 

EU Students who do not need ATS or/and Visa Schedule :

EUR 10,000 Registration fees – to be paid upon admission of a student into the program.
EUR 10,000 To be paid before the start of the program.
EUR 5,000 To be paid in the 6th month.
EUR 5,000 To be paid in the 9th month.
EUR 7,000 To be paid before the end of the 12th month.

Education is an investment. How to finance it?

There are a number of ways to finance your studies at Luxembourg School of Business. Here is the general overview of tools and instruments available:

For Luxembourgish students (and residents)

The Luxembourg State can grant scholarships for students in higher or university education as well as loans.

The Luxembourgish state provides scholarships and a student loan to anyone enrolled in higher education and fulfilling certain conditions.

  • January 1 to April 30 (summer semester)

Student loans for other EU or Non EU Citizens

We advise EU students to make researches and complete all necessary procedures in their country of residence in order to obtain financial support for their studies from their country.

LSB Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available from Luxembourg School of Business.

Students can apply for the scholarship only after completing the whole application process on our website, submitting your documents and paying the 100 euros fees. The Scholarship can cover up from 5% to 50% of the tuition fees.

Scholarships:

  • Non-traditional backgrounds: This scholarship is awarded to students who come from nontraditional backgrounds, such as Aerospace engineering, Artificial intelligence, Astrophysics, Biotechnology, Cognitive science among others.
  • Emerging markets: This scholarship is awarded to students who come from emerging markets, such as countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
  • Social engagement:  This scholarship is awarded to students who are passionate about social engagement and who have a proven track record of giving back to their communities.
  • International Entrepreneur:  Awarded to candidates who have started
    their own company and are currently running it.
  • Leadership & Innovation scholarship: Awarded to students who have strong leaderships skills and are passionate about innovation. Candidates should demonstrate the impact their innovative ideas had in their organizations.
  • Merit Based Scholarship: Awarded to outstanding candidates due to their excellent academic track record to acquire business knowledge and managerial skills to continue thriving in the business world.

Scholarships criteria are based being able to provide evidence based on:

  • Outstanding Academic record or graduation with honors
  • References from university / professors
  • Letter of motivation
  • Financial need (the financial need aspect will be judged based on the student’s/parents’ annual revenue proof)

Scholarships are very limited and are given only to outstanding candidates.

Entry Requirements, Health Insurance, Bank Account

Before your arrival at Luxembourg School of Business

  1. Entry Requirements for EU citizens

If you are a citizen of an EU Member State (or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland), you do not need a visa or authorization to stay for your studies at Luxembourg School of Business.

To enter Luxembourg and enroll at LSB you need:

  • ID or passport
  • health insurance (covering the entire period of your study exchange). More information below
  1. Entry Requirements for NON EU citizens

A.  Authorization to Stay (ATS)

You have to apply for the Temporary authorization to stay (ATS) immediately after receiving the Letter of Admission from LSB

 

! IMPORTANT ! Instructions for the ATS application

The process to obtain ATS may take several weeks, it is therefore crucial that you meet the deadline for ATS application. In case you do not submit your ATS application before deadline, you will no longer be considered for a student at Luxembourg School of Business

B. Visa

Visa requirements are depending on your country of citizenship. Check whether you have to obtain a visa to enter the Schengen area.

Request a type D visa after you obtain the temporary authorisation to stay. 

If the third-country national is subject to the visa requirement, he must, with his authorization to stay, submit before his trip and from his country of origin, an application for a type D visa to the diplomatic representation or consular office of Luxembourg in its country of origin, or with the embassy or consulate of the country in the Schengen Area which represents Luxembourg there in matters of visa delivery (Belgian embassy or consulate only).

C. Health Insurance

On your arrival to LSB, you have to provide a proof of your health insurance for the entire period of your study exchange.

You have the following options:

a) provide a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)

b) provide a confirmation of a private health insurance within Europe that specifies the beginning and the end date of coverage. Documents from outside Europe will not be accepted in Luxembourg.

c) pay for Luxembourg national health insurance on their arrival to Luxembourg School of Business  (see below) and benefit from the Student fees which are the most advantageous.

National health insurance in Luxembourg:

In case you do not have a health insurance on your arrival, you have the possibility to pay for the health insurance directly at LSB. You will be affiliated to the national “Centre commune de sécurité sociale » and you will be required to pay the health insurance fees for the whole year.

Bear in mind that if you are NOT covered by any health insurance valid in Europe, you will not be reimbursed in case of illness or hospitalization. All medical cost would be at your own expense.

Students must look for an internship on their own and the LSB career center is here to help facilitating the research.

Students can do an Internship or a Master thesis, even if we strongly recommend the Internship option to start a career. The Internship can be done in Luxembourg or abroad.

The interview is motivational (no technical preparation e.g assessment centre model). We will mainly discuss the application documents you have submitted and your motivation in joining the program.

The MBA program is mainly designed for professionals with a Bachelor from any field of studies i.e Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Arts, Sports or Science degree for example, who speak English (B2 level minimum). Our students in the program come from all over the world, with different age ranges and levels of professional experience. In average our students have 11 years of professional experience. If you are not on the average, don’t be discouraged we will make sure to compose a well balanced group of students.

In class you can find group sizes between 20 to 40 students in average. In a majority of classes requiring group assignments, students will be divided in groups of 4 to 5 students. This human size aspect of each class gives students an individualized learning experience and facilitates the practical approach of the courses.

At LSB, the assessment method is based on a continuous approach. Students have between 3 to 6 grading elements in each course allowing tracking of progress. It offers students more support, guidance, and opportunities to improve during the course and reduce the risk of failure compared to a classical final examination method.

LSB accepts documents in English, German, Luxembourgish, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese. In case of doubts, LSB might ask for a recognition of diploma from Luxembourg Ministry of Education.
