Overview

Whether you are forging an agreement with suppliers, trying to seal the deal with potential customers, raising money from investors, managing conflict inside the firm, or even facing a dispute at home, professional (and personal!), success requires the ability to negotiate effectively. At its core, the course is designed to help you practice, analyze, and refine your negotiation skills, and to provide an opportunity for you to develop a negotiator’s mindset for achieving the best results at the bargaining table and beyond. This course will be held in French!

Mid and Senior Management & C-Level or Human Resources Managers who are looking to sharpen their negotiation skills and become the central person when it comes to resolving conflicts both in and outside the company, communicating with difficult clients or partners, and executing the most crucial and complex deals for their organization. This program is appropriate for diverse industries, including high technology, pharmaceutical, medical, energy, consulting, and investment banking. This course will be held in French!

Faculty

Jordi Quoidbach is an award-winning Professor of Organizational Behavior at ESADE Business School and a leading expert in the scientific field of emotion. 

Jordi’s research explores how people can leverage their emotions to fuel better decisions and more impactful social interactions. His team developed the first scientifically-validated training program to increase emotional intelligence in adulthood. Jordi’s work has been published in journals such as Science, PNAS, and Psychological Bulletin, and is often covered in popular media including CNN, BBC, and The New York Times. He has written several popular books on emotional competencies and hosted the coaching TV series “J’ai décidé d’être heureux” broadcasted on the French TV channel M6. 

Jordi has been teaching Negotiation and Decision-Making courses to MBA and Executives for over a decade. He was identified among the Best 40 Business Professors Under 40 in Poets & Quants. He regularly gives keynote speeches and delivers corporate training programs for firms and not-for-profit organizations across the globe.

  • Tax Deductibility for individual

Any taxpayer with net income from a salaried occupation may deduct the cost of professional development as business expenses (frais d’obtention) from his taxable income from the salaried occupation. Further training expenses which are related to the taxpayer’s current activity fall within the scope of the acquisition costs of article 105 of the ITA and are therefore deductible from taxable income.

Practical information

The course takes place from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Luxembourg School of Business is located at 46 Côté d’Eich, 1450 Luxembourg.

If you are coming by car, LSB has free parking accessible from the right of the building.

If you are coming by bus, the ”Eecher Plaz” bus stop is situated just a 1-minute walk from the school.
