Overview

Leaders’ attempts to renew or change their organizations quite often fail to achieve their goals. Most companies undertaking the implementation of new business strategies, no matter how well designed or ingenious they are, learn early on that the main challenge to effective strategic change is execution. In this module, participants will identify ways to solve problemsrelated to managing change, including recognizing, anticipating, and effectively leading the change process. We will identify critical stages and activities in the change process  as well as different approaches for developing and communicating a vision for an organization and for motivating people to fulfill that vision.

Program Objectives

  • Participants will identify ways to solve problems related to organizational design.
  • Examine the organizational elements that must be drawn into line to support a change strategy.
  • Review several models for managing the change process.
  • Discuss the leadership styles that are needed to transform the organization.
  • Managing the change process effectively requires a special type of leaders that can develop trust, inspire others, take risks, and develop the team.
  • Assess the level of leadership in the group.
  • How to implement change and deal with resistance to change.
  • Review the best way to deal with resistance to change.

Faculty

Professor Juan Carlos Pastor is a leading scholar and trainer in the areas of Leadership, Coaching, Managing People Skills, HighPerformance Teams, and Leading Change and has received many awards for his teaching in the MBA, Executive MBA, and incompany executive education programs.
He has helped many companies to develop their leadership talent and effectively implement change management programs all over the world. With experience gained through his consultancy and training projects, his teaching techniques include action learning workshops and experiential exercises that focus on the development of practical skills. Professor Pastor is also an active academic researcher, and his work has been published in leading academic journals.   • Tax Deductibility for individual

Any taxpayer with net income from a salaried occupation may deduct the cost of professional development as business expenses (frais d’obtention) from his taxable income from the salaried occupation. Further training expenses which are related to the taxpayer’s current activity fall within the scope of the acquisition costs of article 105 of the ITA and are therefore deductible from taxable income.

The course takes place from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Luxembourg School of Business is located at 46 Côté d’Eich, 1450 Luxembourg.

If you are coming by car, LSB has free parking accessible from the right of the building.

If you are coming by bus, the ”Eecher Plaz” bus stop is situated just a 1-minute walk from the school.
