Luxembourgish business school to earn AACSB accreditation

<6%

of business schools worldwide hold AACSB accreditation

Nationally recognized degrees. Internationally accredited business school.

Two different forms of recognition help answer two important questions when comparing business schools: whether a degree is officially recognized, and how the institution behind it has been evaluated.

Recognized in Luxembourg

LSB’s degree programs are accredited by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Higher Education and Research, giving them official recognition within the country’s higher education system.

Accredited internationally

AACSB accreditation adds an independent, internationally recognized assessment of the business school’s academic quality and institutional standards.

What has actually been evaluated?

Earning AACSB accreditation requires a rigorous international peer-review process. For LSB, it took approximately five and a half years.

Faculty

Qualifications, expertise and teaching effectiveness.

Education

Curriculum quality and evidence of student learning.

Institutional quality

Governance, research, resources and engagement with business and society.

AACSB-accredited schools must also demonstrate continuous improvement, including how they use evidence of student learning to strengthen their programs.

A new chapter for LSB

Founded in Luxembourg in 2015 with just six MBA students, LSB has grown into an institution serving approximately 400 students. AACSB accreditation marks an important step in the school’s international development.
