Dr. Sinisa Krajnovic

Sinisa Krajnovic is a Partner at McKinsey & Company and a former global executive with long senior international leadership experience and expertise in Information and Communications Technology. Krajnovic has an extensive multicultural experience gained from living and working in Croatia, UK, Ireland, Japan, Hungary, Sweden, and China. Since 2018 he has been living and working in Beijing.

Since 2022, Sinisa Krajnovic has been a core member of the McKinsey & Company Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice. Drawing on his deep knowledge of technology and broad business experience, Sinisa specializes in issues related to mobile networks, research and product development, and digital transformation.

From 2018 until 2022, Krajnovic was Executive Vice President of Ericsson North East Asia, responsible for Ericsson’s Digital Services business in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea markets, from sales engagements to service delivery and operations. His focus was on selling and deploying 5G mobile networks in the world’s most advanced 5G markets. Before moving to Beijing in 2018, he was living and working in Stockholm for 7 years. As Head of Development Unit Networks in Ericsson, he led more than 15,000 engineers in the global R&D organization that focused on 5G related research, standardization, and development, securing the technological leadership of Ericsson’s products and solutions.

Being passionate about lifelong learning, Sinisa Krajnovic is active in the academic world, having taught at Tsinghua University, Luxembourg School of Business (LSB), and Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM). At ZSEM in Croatia, and LSB in Luxembourg, he is both a professor and member of the Advisory Boards. Since 2018 he is a visiting professor at the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (TSEM) in China.

Krajnovic has been General Chair of the SoftCOM Conference – IEEE International Conference on Software, Telecommunications, and Computer Networks, in Split, Croatia for the last 10 years. He has authored scientific papers and has been invited to speak at many international conferences during the last 20+ years.

Krajnovic is an experienced board member and board chair. He has served on various Ericsson local companies and joint venture boards, as well as on chambers of commerce, professional associations, and business school boards.

Sinisa Krajnovic earned MSc and PhD degrees from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. He completed several executive development programs, at Columbia University in the US, Cranfield University in the UK, University of Zagreb in Croatia, IMD Business School in Switzerland, and Indian School of Business in India.

Sinisa Krajnovic was born in Zagreb, Croatia. He is married and has three children.
