Dr. Björn Bronger
Dr. Björn Bronger is a Lecturer at the Luxembourg School of Business, teaching Legislation in Bankruptcy and related procedures in the Master in Management program. His academic background is focused on law and business. In addition to his PhD in law analyzing debt to equity swaps as a financial restructuring tool (University of Heidelberg), he received an Executive MBA from Mannheim Business School and ESSEC Business School. His previous academic achievements also include a postgraduate degree in International Relations.
Dr. Bronger works in the banking team responsible for the origination, structuring and financing of projects with financial institutions in Central and Southeast Europe, and the EFTA states at the European Investment Bank (EIB). His experience includes loans, guarantees and structured finance products (e.g. securitization structures like ABS). Previously, he worked for EIB’s legal department (most recently as Counsel), and two international law firms. Apart to his responsibilities at the EIB, Dr. Bronger advises startups and entrepreneurs as well as small and midsize companies as an independent attorney.
As the author of various articles and books, he regularly gives speeches and participates in panel discussions. On a personal level, he champions climate change, promotes diversity and advocates for multilateralism, and is strongly engaged in various non-profit organizations.
