An Evening with Prof. Joel Mokyr

On Thursday, 09 July 2026, Professor Mokyr will join Luxembourg School of Business for an evening talk drawing on key elements of his work. The talk will be followed by a social cocktail reception, where attendees can reflect on the ideas shared and connect with other guests representing a wide array of public and private sector interests in Luxembourg, including members of the academic community at Luxembourg School of Business.
Professor’s work is highly relevant for anyone who takes an interest in the future of Luxembourg, as it champions the strength of public and private institutions, density of knowledge workers, and openness to the world as critical elements to economic growth. Luxembourg exemplifies many of the very dynamics Professor Mokyr has spent his career explaining. What will be particularly interesting is Professor Mokyr’s views on fostering innovation, and how Luxembourg can leverage its structural attributes to remain competitive going forward.
