Has objective decision making been replaced by emotional over-reaction? Is the response, a legacy of the unresolved Global Financial Crisis of 2008?
Dr. Jonathon Read is an experienced financial service professional, who has run trading, structuring and product marketing businesses at major financial institutions in London and New York. He started his career at Goldman Sachs and has worked at other investment banks including Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch.
He has taught as a Fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School, leading courses at the MBA, MFin and MPhil levels, and as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School in New York, where he has taught on the MBA and EMBA courses and supervised several research projects. He has, moreover, taught on the MiF and MFA programs at London Business School.
Dr. Jonathon Read holds a Ph.D., MA and BA(Hons) from the University of Cambridge and an LLM from the University of London. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder, holds the Certified Financial Planner™ and Professional Risk Manager certifications, and is a Chartered Financial Planner, Chartered Wealth Manager, Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.
