Blockchain Bootcamp held by LSB

The first Blockchain Bootcamp, organized by the Luxembourg School of Business was held last Friday and Saturday (15-16 April 2016) attracting around 60 participants interested in exploring the applications of the Blockchain technology. This 2-day event was opened by a morning conference during which several speakers exposed their perspectives on the potential business applications of Blockchain technology, regulatory hurdles, adoption trends, key players, etc… The conference was led by its academic director and LSB faculty member, Prof. Dr. Jonathon Read. Participants included Will Beeson (Head of Innovation, Civilised Bank), Ming Chan (Executive Director, Ethereum Foundation) and Vitalik Buterin (Creator, Founder, Ethereum). The conference was followed by a networking lunch, after which a group of participants entered the Bootcamp phase of the 2-day program. The Bootcamp was focused on the development of prototypes as well as innovative products and/or services based on Blockchain technology. During Friday afternoon and whole Saturday, the participants worked closely with various mentors on developing their ideas and testing their hypotheses.
